Felicity Says:
The smell wafting out of the kitchen as this meal was cooking, reminded me of smell of dinner service on a Singapore airlines flight. Odd introduction to my review, but that’s the first thing that struck me!
The initial taste is of a quite sweet curry base and then with a powerful spicy heat as a follow up. Due to the immediate intensity of the heat, there isn’t really that lovely mellow after taste you’d normally get. However, there is ample chicken and if you let me meal sit for a minute or two before eating, it sauce thickens up and you get a lovely thick curry.
If you like heat in your curry, you’ll really enjoy this meal. If you prefer a delicate flavour, then get the Lean Cuisine version. Overall, I prefer the Lean Cuisine version as you get more of the coconut milk taste that Thai curries are renowned for.
However, if the LC version wasn’t available, that I wouldn’t say no to this one either – I’m going to happily sit on the fence with this one.
