(WW) Chicken Lasagne
WW Points: 5
WW Says: Tender chicken and ricotta blended with spinach, layered between al dente pasta on a base of Napoli sauce, and topped with cheesy bechamel.
Felicity's Rating:
At first glimpse, I was not impressed. I mean, can you blame me? But since it was lunch time and I was hungry I figured I had better eat it. And you know? Not too bad!
The chicken was pretty much obsolete. I think I tasted it once or twice, but expect tiny tiny pieces. However, the spinach actually tasted real and fresh and the pasta was actually al dente!! The Napoli sauce was ok (sometimes WW's makes it too sweet) and the cheesy sauce was more creamy than cheesy. My brain saw cheese, my tongue didn't taste it. I'm not really sure where the ricotta was, but I think it was in there.
The main saving grace of the lasagne was that it was promoted as a "larger serve" which is good for the days when I really want something to eat, not a token piece of food.
Overall, it doesn't make my must-always-have-on-hand list, but I will buy it again.
