(WW) Chicken Cacciatore
WW Points: 2.5 per serve
WW Says: Tender chicken pieces in a rich tomato & basil sauce with sliced black olives, mushrooms and chunky garden vegetables.
Felicity’s Rating:
This meal really really surprised me. I had questioned how a meal that was so low in points could actually taste good, and it answered. The sauce really is tomato & basil tasting – some might say it was too rich but I fell for it. Like any/all frozen meals the vegetables always end up tasting a little watery but I could accept this. The chicken was white (which is always a good start) and there was enough to remind me that I was, in fact, eating a chicken dish.
The thing that I love most about this dish is the really low points value! If you’ve having an indulgent day, this is a perfect meal to save you. Or, if you’re having a good day, add ½ cup of pasta to it, or a slice of crusty bread and you’ve got yourself a real meal! Oh, and it actually smelt good when cooking!
This will become a regular in my freezer.
